UConn Course Placement – New Freshmen

New Freshmen:

Information on placement in first-year English, Chemistry, and Mathematics calculus courses may be obtained by clicking on the appropriate menu section shown. By following the procedures given in each section, you will learn which first-year courses are the most suitable for you to enroll in based on your prior schooling. Information obtained via the placement process will help you and your advisor determine an appropriate course schedule during registration.

 

New Transfer Students

New Transfer Students:

Depending on which courses you transfer from your prior institution, you may need to complete course work in English and/or quantitative reasoning to meet the University's General Education requirements. Information on placement in first-year English, Chemistry, and Mathematics calculus courses may be obtained by clicking on the appropriate menu section shown.
